The community was created in the midst of the pandemic with the idea that we needed a place to bring people from different horizons together to discuss design, innovation, systemic change, etc. with a diversity of perspectives, practices, and experiences. Back then, the realisation was staggering: Communities were sharing and discussing the same limited tools, in the same way. Design & Critical Thinking was a humble answer.
Fast forward 3 years later, the community brought together amazing people; we covered so many various topics: ethics+design, politics+design, design+evaluation, systems thinking+complexity, sense-making, design+philosophy, etc.; we developed the Explorer framework; and we also had creative workshops and games, like the island mapping, and many more.
